A Simple Snack Turns Into a Surprise
After a routine doctor’s visit, a couple was reassured that everything was fine, though they were advised to start writing things down to help with memory.

Later that evening, while relaxing in front of the TV, the husband got up to grab a snack and asked his wife if she wanted anything.

“A bowl of ice cream would be nice,” she said.

He agreed confidently, but she gently suggested he write it down. He brushed it off, certain he’d remember.

Then she added strawberries. He insisted he had it covered.

Then whipped cream. Still, he refused to write anything down, now slightly annoyed.

Confident in his memory, he headed to the kitchen.

About 20 minutes later, he returned proudly—with a plate of bacon and eggs.

His wife looked at it, paused, and said, “Where’s my toast?”

A Visit Filled With Forgetful Moments
Two elderly friends went to visit their friend Mary. They sat down and began chatting when Mary suddenly realized she hadn’t offered them anything to drink.

She got up and brought coffee.

A little while later, she had the same realization again—and brought more coffee.
