Eighty Years Young: A Toast to Wisdom and Humor
An elderly woman walked into a cruise ship bar and politely ordered a Scotch with just two drops of water.
When the bartender placed the glass in front of her, she smiled warmly. “I’m celebrating my 80th birthday today!” she said.
The bartender chuckled. “Happy birthday! This one’s on the house.”
After finishing her drink, a woman nearby leaned over. “I’d love to buy you your next one.”
“That’s very kind,” the birthday lady replied. “Bartender, another Scotch, two drops of water, please.”
Later, a man on her other side offered the same. She nodded, ordering the exact same drink again.
Curiosity finally got the bartender. “Ma’am, why only two drops of water every time?”
The woman giggled. “Son, at my age, I’ve mastered my liquor. Water, however, is a completely different challenge.”
