A Pastor’s Request Sparks an Unforgettable Church Meeting
As his family continued to grow, one pastor approached his congregation with a heartfelt request. He explained that with each new addition to his household, the financial demands of raising a family were increasing.
After thoughtful discussion, the church agreed on a generous arrangement: each time the pastor welcomed another child, his salary would receive a small increase.
At first, everyone felt the decision was both fair and supportive.
A Blessing That Grew Quickly
Over the years, the pastor’s family continued to expand. With each new child came joy, celebration, and, of course, another salary adjustment.
By the time the sixth child arrived, however, the church treasurer began to feel the pressure. What had started as a kind gesture was becoming a growing financial concern for the congregation.
Naturally, a special meeting was called to revisit the arrangement.
