A Quiet Student Faced with Harsh Judgement
A busy university lecture hall buzzed with conversation as students waited for class to begin. Laptops were open, groups were chatting, and the usual morning energy filled the room.
In the front row sat one student who stood apart from the rest—Max Reyan. Dressed simply, carrying an old backpack, and sitting in complete focus, he quietly worked in his notebook while the rest of the room paid him little attention.
When Mockery Replaces Understanding
At first, it was a passing comment from the back of the room. Then another.
Some students began making remarks about Max’s appearance—his clothes, his hair, and his quiet behavior. Laughter spread quickly, and what started as a small comment turned into group mockery.
Max did not react. He did not turn around or respond. He simply continued writing, staying focused on his work as if the noise around him did not exist.
