A Teen Pageant Title and an Unexpected Arrest
A South Carolina teenager known for her success in beauty pageants has found herself at the center of controversy after police say she was arrested over allegedly falsifying medical excuses for school absences.
Madison Cox, a 17-year-old student who held titles including Miss Spartanburg International and Miss South Carolina Teen International, was taken into custody following an investigation reported by local authorities.
The Allegations Behind the Case
According to officials, the situation involved handwritten medical notes that were allegedly used to justify days she did not attend school.
